Who we are
The IEEE at UConn is a group of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering majors who are broadening our educational experience by involving ourselves in the leading professional organization in our future career fields.
What we do
We take on a wide variety of fun and interesting engineering projects, primarily having to do with Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, that allow us to add real world experiences to our extensive classroom experience. We have recently made partnerships with the UConn chapters of the ACM and HKN. These new alliances will bolster our membership and allow us to tackle a whole new breed of projects. Over the coming semesters we are planning several projects that will benefit the University, apply our classroom experiences to real world problems, and provide the IEEE with some much needed campus exposure. Take a look at the activities page for details.
First general meeting
On Thursday, September 15th, 2011 @5:30pm, we will hold our first general meeting of the 2011/2012 school year. Last year we had the largest turnout in the past three years. We will discuss projects and ideas that our members can work on in the upcoming months.
